The Business Analyst (m/f/d) acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, leading workstreams and conducting business, functional, and technical analysis to support critical projects. This role plays a central part in aligning solutions with business strategy and driving value through well-defined, fit-for-purpose change initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Requirements & Solution Design:
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to define business problems, objectives, and the strategic context for change.
  • Elicit, validate, and prioritise business and non-functional requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Define and evaluate business solution options, including third-party systems, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Refine requirements and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
Project Delivery & Quality Assurance:
  • Support QA and UAT processes by ensuring requirements are testable and acceptance criteria are clear and comprehensive.
  • Contribute to post-implementation reviews, including benefits tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
  • Facilitate workshops with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Create clear and concise documentation using modelling techniques and reporting tools.
  • Promote collaboration across business and IT teams and foster a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement.
Change Analysis:
  • Assess the impact of changes across people, processes, technology, and data.
  • Champion process optimisation and challenge existing workflows where appropriate.
Required skills and qualifications
Core Competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident workshop facilitator and requirements modeller.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated with strong task prioritisation.
Technical & Professional:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in IT Business Analysis, with a focus on data-centric initiatives.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex projects, preferably within the life science industry.
  • Understanding of BPM, process mapping, and IT systems.
  • Comfortable reviewing technical documentation with support from technical teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
 
Agile & Product Ownership:
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Exposure to or involvement in Product Ownership responsibilities (e.g. backlog management, user story development, stakeholder prioritisation).
  • Understanding of Agile ceremonies and incremental delivery approaches.
  • Written and oral fluency in English, German (Level C1)
Travel
Travel is expected and may occasionally occur for educational/career development purposes.
